WWE Allegedly Bringing Back Iconic Stable After 9 Years
Many fans consider 2025 to be a bland year for WWE.
Triple H has been aware of the criticisms coming his way, considering the multiple times he was forced to address them during press conferences or post-show segments.
The Stamford-based promotion would very much like to present invigorated characters and storylines when RAW kicks off next year on January 5.
A couple of matches have already been announced, as Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky will challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championship, whereas CM Punk will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker.
One of the reasons why Triple H has also faced flak is for inserting himself in situations that do not require him.
As the Chief Content Officer, he often provides voiceovers or features in vignettes, portraying himself as one of the central characters.
Now, to extend his presence further, the 56-year-old might allegedly resurrect a stable from 9 years ago.
The Authority Returning To WWE?
During a recent podcast on Vince Russo’s YouTube channel, ex-WWE star Stevie Richards predicted the resurrection of The Authority, which comprised Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
His justification stems from an incident during Saturday Night’s Main Event, when Triple H and Stephanie McMahon led the talent and staff to the ring after John Cena’s final match.
I’m about to predict, I thought it was gonna start last night, the Hail Mary is coming from Triple H. If he thinks his job’s on the line, and you think, ‘Well, there’s no way he can insert himself more into all this,’ he said one line that convinced me.
I know what his plans are. ‘The time-honored tradition.’ Mr. McMahon 2.0 is coming, and that is Hail Mary to be featured on the show and making Gunther his guy and leaning into also saying the business is completely fake out now…John Cena tap out because I am the boss.
And having Stephanie throughout the show, we are going to get The Authority back, 28-minute promos, and nobody ever getting over on them. [13:25 onwards]
