WWE Could Break Major Rule After Seth Rollins’ Injury

Seth Rollins suffered a knee injury during his match against LA Knight at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and it has put his status and the fate of the briefcase in serious doubt.

The Visionary’s injury has now sparked debate about the future of the Money in the Bank storyline. Given that he’s currently sidelined, questions have emerged about whether WWE will stick with tradition or pivot to keep the storyline moving forward.

While WWE has not confirmed the full extent of his injury, the uncertainty has opened the door for potential rule-breaking developments within the storyline.

Teddy Long Suggests WWE Could Break MITB Rules Because Of Seth Rollins’ Injury

Speaking on The Wrestling Time Machine with Mac Davis, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long shared his thoughts on how WWE might handle Seth Rollins’ absence. Long believes WWE could break precedent and strip The Messiah of the briefcase altogether if he’s out for an extended period.

They can always bring in the GM. The GM there, Adam there, he can always change that rule,” Long explained. “But he can say he went to a higher authority, you know, someone higher than him, to find out what he can really do and what he can’t do, and he found out that he can change that rule. So let that leave it in the hands of the GM.

According to Long, if Seth Rollins’ recovery timeline is unclear or extends too long, WWE may need to take the briefcase off him for the sake of storytelling momentum.

Rollins’ injury has become one of the hottest talking points in wrestling since last Saturday, with fans and insiders speculating about how WWE will navigate this unexpected twist.
