WWE Brand Split To Take Backseat Moving Forward
More change is coming to WWE.
On January 6th, Monday Night Raw will officially move from the USA Network to Netflix in a deal worth a staggering $500 million per year.
The show will come live from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California and many of the company’s biggest names will be involved. This includes John Cena, several SmackDown stars, and Hip Hop megastar Travis Scott.
Meanwhile, it’s been reported that not only will Roman Reigns be on the show, but he’ll become something of a regular on the red brand for the next few months. And according to a new report, he won’t be the only star on the move.
Changes Being Made To WWE Brand Split
Writing in a very special edition of the Figure Four Weekly, Bryan Alvarez noted there will be a “loose adherence” to the draft for the next few months. He added it will be “all hands on deck” heading into the Royal Rumble and beyond.
Expect a very loose adherence to the draft from now through WrestleMania. Lots of all hands on deck shows, especially with things like SNME and the move to Netflix, plus Rumble builds, etc.
As part of Raw’s move to Netflix, it’s been confirmed that the WWE Network will be officially shut down on January 1st, 2025 for fans in the UK and Ireland.
The Network has been the home of all WWE content in the UK since January 2015. At present, Raw and SmackDown air live on TNT Sports before later being added to the streaming service.
