WWE Botches Maxxine Dupri’s Fiancé’s Evolve Debut With Silly Mistake

Maxxine Dupri has a new reason to celebrate.

Her fiancé, Anthony Luke, made his WWE EVOLVE debut recently, but under a different name.

The Stamford promotion often rebrands wrestlers for marketing and legal reasons, which also helps get them accustomed to viewers.

In the past, Rocky Maivia was turned into The Rock, whereas The Ringmaster was repackaged as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

A more recent example is that of Iyo Sky, who went by Iyo Shirai on NXT. Similarly, Zelina Vega now simply goes by Zelina.

Luke, meanwhile, is now called Kam Hendrix. He was also a part of the WWE Legends & Future Greats (LFG) reality TV show as a part of Michelle McCool’s team.

His charisma and in-ring athleticism seem to have grabbed eyeballs, enabling him to debut on EVOLVE.

While one could call it Anthony Luke’s first step in his journey to the main roster, eagle-eyed fans spotted a botch that got them talking online.

Despite his name change, Luke’s trunks still carried the initials ‘AL.’

Maxxine Dupri Successfully Defends Her Title On WWE RAW

Maxxine Dupri turned heads on the November 17 episode of RAW, when she scored a successful pinfall on Becky Lynch.

Her victory meant that she was now the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion, which is also her first-ever title as a talent of the Stamford promotion.

Over the next few weeks, she faced challenges from the likes of Ivy Nile and Roxanne Perez. It was ultimately decided that Nile would be her first challenger.

On the latest episode of the red brand, Dupri defended her title for the first time. While Nile dominated most of the match, the 28-year-old champion found her stride to apply the ankle lock and make Nile tap out.
