WWE Star Blasted For Being “Consistently Terrible” Character

A WWE superstar has been labeled as being “consistently terrible” after a recent chaotic situation on television.

There are three authority figures for WWE’s three main shows. Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis have been the Raw and SmackDown General Managers for the past two years, while Ava has been the NXT GM since January 2024.

At the time of her appointment as NXT GM, Ava was 22, making her the youngest GM in WWE history. As the daughter of The Rock and granddaughter of Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson, it’s fair to say that Ava was born into the pro wrestling business.

During this week’s WWE NXT television show, Ava had her hands full because Trick Williams and the NXT Champion, Ricky Saints, were brawling throughout the show.

After Trick and Ricky went into the ring during the Kelani Jordan-Jordynne Grace, Ava told the two men that they’d have a Last Man Standing Match for the NXT Championship on the November 11th NXT broadcast.

NXT GM Ava Character Frustrating WWE Fans

The character Ava portrays on WWE NXT is just doing what she’s told by the creative team. With that in mind, the Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez ranted about how Ava is a very frustrating character to watch.

“Yeah, it’s all storyline, but I’m so sick of the storyline that Ava is so f**king incompetent. Like she allowed the show, in storyline, to be ruined by these two f**king guys. She didn’t do anything about it. Didn’t fine them, suspend them, kick them out of the building…she just let them f**king ruin the f**king show. And then at the end, she just goes, ‘We gotta solve this problem – Trick, you’re getting a rematch for the title Last Man Standing’ in two weeks at whatever f**king show. And I’m like, are you f**king kidding me?

They ruined your goddamn show, and your ruling is that this guy is getting a championship match. You’re rewarding this f**king guy. I was just like…this show sucks!

And you know, the funny thing is, I’ll give Ava one thing. She is the most consistent character in all of wrestling, bar none. The most consistent character – consistently f**king terrible! But like her gimmick is a lazy Gen Z out there nepo hire who doesn’t want to f**king ever work. Everybody else has to do all the work, and she’s going to take credit for it.”

There is a counterpoint to what Alvarez is saying, and that is that by having Ricky and Trick fight all over the building for most of the show, it builds up the anticipation for their title match on the November 11th version of NXT.
