WWE Reportedly Has Big Plans For Recently Crowned Champion
Giulia has impressed WWE management.
WWE SmackDown saw a surprising title change ahead of Night of Champions. Giulia convincingly beat Zelina Vega to win her first title on the main roster.
On the Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez spoke about the title change. He told listeners that the fact that the new SmackDown recruit beat Vega quickly was a nod from the company in believing that she is the future of the division. He claimed that the company is grooming her to be one of the top stars.

“SmackDown, Giulia did win the Women’s US title and just, I mean, just, just beat her. I mean, it was like just a short match. Dominated the match, hit her move, pinned her. She is the new United States champion. If you’re slotting women stars, they’re not anywhere near the same level. Vega was, you know, one of those, you know, to give people belts to give people belts, right? But they’re not serious about them at that level… Giulia is like someone who they’re grooming to be like one of the top stars.”
Another WWE Title May Change Hands Ahead Of Evolution
The all-women’s PLE is right around the corner, and WWE plans to have all the women’s championships defended on the show. Unfortunately for the company, Liv Morgan is sidelined after her shoulder injury during her match against Kairi Sane on WWE RAW a few weeks ago.
Morgan is one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, and her inability to defend the title may force WWE to look for a new Superstar to fill that spot. According to reports, Roxanne Perez may be selected to partner with Raquel Rodriguez. Perez will be crowned champion ahead of Evolution and will defend the Women’s Tag Team Championship at the PLE along with Rodriguez.
