Why WWE’s Bianca Belair Will Never Hate Becky Lynch
Bianca Belair has a lot of love for one of her most memorable WWE opponents, Becky Lynch.
When Becky Lynch beat Bianca Belair for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at WWE SummerSlam 2021, a lot of fans hated it because it killed the momentum that Belair had built up as the champion after headlining WrestleMania 37 a few months earlier.
By the time we got to WrestleMania 38 in 2022, most of the fans who were upset turned those frowns upside down because it was a phenomenal storyline leading to Bianca Belair beating Becky Lynch on the grandest stage of them all to win the Raw Women’s Championship.
A few months later at SummerSlam 2022, Belair beat Lynch again and the two women shared an emotional hug in the ring after completing a one-year storyline that was among the best in WWE during that period.
Becky Lynch is currently no longer signed to a WWE contract after her deal expired on June 1st. While many people expect Lynch to return to WWE some day, it’s not known when that might happen.
While talking to Kenny McIntosh of Inside The Ropes, former three-time WWE Women’s Champion and current WWE Tag Team Champion Bianca Belair spoke about how Lynch worked so hard to help elevate Belair during their feud.
“It means everything. Becky Lynch is somebody who is so close to my heart. She is so much more than just who she is inside of the ring and what’s most important to me is the person that she is outside of the ring. But it was really cool to read that in the book where she wrote about SummerSlam and our whole interaction that was our first time actually meeting each other.”
“Just to see how far we’ve come from three years or four years since then, and she had my back and she stood up for me. She stood up for this division, she stood up for me. She’s just an amazing person and yeah, nobody could say anything to ever make me hate Becky. I just love her so much.”
