WWE Hall Of Famer Believes Joe Hendry Belongs In WWE

Joe Hendry

A WWE Hall of Famer who has wrestled Joe Hendry believes that the TNA star should have been in WWE years ago.

It has been a breakout year for TNA’s Joe Hendry, who is a former Digital Media Champion in the company. In addition to that, Hendry has also gotten huge reactions during appearances on the WWE NXT brand.

In the main event of the July 9th edition of NXT, Joe Hendry teamed up with Trick Williams to defeat Shawn Spears and Ethan Page in the main event. It’s an example of how much WWE has enjoyed using Hendry on their programming since he’s picking up wins in main events of their shows even though he’s a TNA wrestler.

Kurt Angle is a WWE and TNA Hall of Famer who is considered one of the best wrestlers ever. In 2016 when Angle’s career was winding down, he wrestled Joe Hendry in What Culture Pro Wrestling and he was very impressed by him. While speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Kurt spoke about how he believes in Joe Hendry and thought he should be in WWE back in 2016.

“I believe in Joe Henry, yes I do. I got to wrestle Joe over to the UK. It was for WCPW. He’s good, and not only that, he had this character where he would sing songs about his opponent. He did one about me and I was like ‘Holy s***, this guy needs to be in WWE.’”

Joe Hendry Could Be “Something Special” According To Kurt Angle

The Olympic Gold Medalist Angle went on to talk about how impressed he was with Hendry. Angle referenced WWE’s former singer Elias and said Hendry was better than that.

“He was Elias times 100,000. He was able to tell stories about his opponents every single week. He would come up with these songs and he would play the guitar.”

“It was just really impressive, and not only that, but he was a great worker in the ring. I knew this kid was going to be something special. I’m actually surprised that he hasn’t been pushed even further at this point in his career.”

Up next for Joe Hendry is the biggest match in his TNA career so far when he participates in the main event of TNA Slammiversary in Montreal. That match will see Moose defend the TNA World Heavyweight Title against Hendry, Nic Nemeth, Frankie Kazarian, Steve Maclin and Josh Alexander in a 6-Way elimination match.
