The relationship between WWE and Netflix continues to get deeper.

While speaking at the Next Level Sports conference at USC in California, Nick Khan announced that a new behind-the-scenes WWE documentary is coming to Netflix.

As first reported by Bloomberg, the deal represents another step in the expanding relationship between the sports entertainment giant and streaming platform. However, no premiere date has been confirmed.

World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., part of TKO Group Holdings Inc., is set to debut a behind-the-scenes documentary series on Netflix Inc., WWE President Nick Khan announced on Thursday.

The new series is part of WWE’s expanding partnership with Netflix, Khan told the University of Southern California Next Level Sports conference in Inglewood, California. Earlier this year, the two companies signed a $5 billion, 10-year deal that will bring WWE’s flagship program, Raw, to the streaming service in 2025.

TKO President Mark Shapiro had previously suggested a new project similar to Formula 1: Dive To Survive could be on the way. The series which airs on Netflix is regularly credited with helping boost the sport’s popularity, especially with younger viewers since it launched in 2019.

WWE Raw Moving To Netflix

Back in January, it was announced that Monday Night Raw would be moving to Netflix on January 6th, 2025. The deal, which could be worth a staggering $500 million per year will see the company’s flagship show leave broadcast television for the first time since its debut in 1993.

The initial agreement is for five years, but it’s believed there are options to extend well beyond that.

Meanwhile, Netflix recently became home to the much-talked-about “Mr. McMahon” documentary that premiered on September 25th.
