WWE Bad Blood Main Event Revealed

The main event of WWE’s Bad Blood PLE is expected to take place inside the Hell in a Cell structure.

It was announced in July that WWE would be bringing back the Bad Blood Premium Live Event name with the event taking place on October 5th in Atlanta, which is the hometown of WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.

After the announcement was made, there were reports that WWE was planning on having a Hell in a Cell match in the main event of Bad Blood.

A big reason why WWE wanted a Hell in a Cell match in the Bad Blood main event is because the first HIAC match took place at the 1997 Badd Blood (with two D’s) PPV with Shawn Michaels defeating The Undertaker thanks to the debuting Kane.

The Bad Blood PLE name was used again in 2003 and 2004 with both of those shows headlined by Hell in a Cell matches, but the name disappeared for 20 years after that.

It has been reported by Wrestlevotes on X/Twitter that WWE plans to announce the main event of Bad Blood featuring Drew McIntyre and CM Punk in a Hell in a Cell match. That announcement is expected to happen on the September 9th “Season Premiere” edition of Monday Night Raw.

I’m hearing that the main event for Bad Blood will be made official tonight on RAW—and as many have predicted, it’s the highly anticipated clash between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell.

WWE’s Drew McIntyre And CM Punk Ready To Settle Rivalry Inside Hell In A Cell

A Hell in a Cell match is fitting for the rivalry between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk, which started in January and has kept on going all year long even while Punk missed about six months due to injury.

At WWE SummerSlam, Drew McIntyre got a controversial win over CM Punk in a match where Seth “Freakin” Rollins was the referee. Later that same month, Punk beat McIntyre decisively at Bash In Berlin in a Strap Match.

It appeared that Punk wanted to move on during a promo on the September 2nd edition of Raw. After Punk finished talking, McIntyre did a cheap attack with multiple Claymore Kicks and he also destroyed Punk’s precious bracelet. Punk left Raw in an ambulance that night.

The rest of the card is unknown for now, but it appears as though the Drew McIntyre-CM Punk Hell in a Cell match is less than a month away at Bad Blood on October 5th in Atlanta.
