Ahead of Night of Champions, The Franchise Player had verbally berated CM Punk, and dropped a pipebomb that shred the challenger to pieces.

Cena claimed Punk was putting on a show for the fans, and is only interested in making money by stepping on other people’s throats.

On The Stevie Richards Show, he revealed that The Best in the World can remain relevant only by turning heel, and accepting what John Cena said, especially since Punk will not dethrone The Champ.

I just think right now, the only way Punk is going to stay as over as he is right now out side of winning the title at Night of Champions, not going to happen, but to turn him heel right now and say, ‘Cena was right. I am a capitalist. I am a bullsh*tter, I’m all these things and I love it’.
