WWE Aware Of Fan Anger At Recent Changes
WWE fans aren’t happy.
On May 22, it was reported that WWE was removing WrestleMania 42 from New Orleans, while promising to take the event to the city in the future. It was subsequently announced that New Orleans will also host Money In The Bank 2026.
Although a new home for WrestleMania 42 is yet to be announced, it’s widely believed that it will be held in Las Vegas for a second consecutive year.
It’s since been reported that WWE feels it can make more money in Las Vegas than New Orleans, while several top TKO Executives live either in or near the city.
WWE Aware Of Fan Unrest
Following reports that WrestleMania is heading back to Las Vegas in 2026, a large number of fans quickly made it clear they were unimpressed with the plans. Not only is New Orleans a favourite city among fans to visit for WrestleMania, but many were frustrated by what they felt was a simple money-grabbing exercise by taking the event back to Nevada.
According to a new report from Wrestle Votes, the company is aware of the backlash and will be “taking that into account” when an official announcement is made.
“We are told the official announcement is on the verge, with WWE deciding on how they complete the rollout, especially within the social media space as they are aware of the backlash incoming.
WWE is aware of the backlash that has already surfaced on social media so they are taking that into account when they make the official announcement. With all that said, according to a source, TKO is hopeful they’ll be able to replicate the entire weekend, which includes having the exact same venues locked down, which in part is causing the hold-up in making the announcement.
WWE is hoping to host its events outside of WrestleMania at Allegiant Stadium within the Las Vegas Convention Center once again, Fontainebleau hotel, and T-Mobile Arena.”
This falls in line with another report from Bryan Alvarez, which confirmed that an announcement on WrestleMania 42 is on the way after several hurdles had been ironed out.
