Saturday Night’s Main Event saw an on-screen debut for the son of a WWE star best known for their exploits in the Attitude Era.

It was a good night for WWE’s champions at Saturday Night’s Main Event in all three title matches. Rhea Ripley retained her Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax before Sheamus failed in his quest to make WWE history as Bron Breakker held on to the Intercontinental Title.

The night’s main event saw Gunther defeat Jey Uso to keep the World Heavyweight Championship around his face but it was another match on the show that had the crowd on their feet.

Jacob Fatu faced Braun Strowman in a one-on-one contest and The Samoan Werewolf was unleashed. The match ended when Fatu would not stop attacking Strowman in the corner before he assaulted the match referee. Fatu then nailed Strowman with several moonsaults before referees, security, and his own teammate Tama Tonga were able to calm him down. Strowman was left bleeding from the mouth after the brutal attack.

WWE Star Funaki’s Son Appears On TV

Fightful Select has now reported that one of the security personnel involved in the segment was Attitude Era star Funaki’s son, Jesse Funaki. The younger Funaki has trained at the Hybrid School of Wrestling in San Antonio, Texas where his father is a coach.

WWE wanted more brutality from the sickening segment as the true power and violence of Jacob Fatu was finally unleashed for all to see.
