WWE Announces Universal Title Match at “WWE Crown Jewel” Event in Saudi Arabia on November 2 on WWE Network
A new WWE event called WWE Crown Jewel will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday, November 2 and it will be broadcast live on WWE Network. Here’s more info from a press release that WWE sent out on Monday:
RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA and STAMFORD, Conn. — The Saudi General Sports Authority, in partnership with WWE, will present WWE Crown Jewel at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday, November 2, including a Universal Championship Triple Threat Match featuring Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman, and the first-ever WWE World Cup tournament to determine the best in the world.
General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia Chairman His Excellency Turki Al Sheikh, WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia invite the world to celebrate this signature event. Following WWE’s sold-out Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah in April, this is the second event as part of a long-term partnership between WWE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
WWE Crown Jewel will stream live on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view outside of the Middle East. Ticket availability and regional broadcast information will be announced in the coming weeks.
This will be WWE’s second major event in Saudi Arabia this year after April’s Greatest Royal Rumble event. It is part of a long-term deal WWE has with the General Sports Authority in Saudi Arabia.
That means that WWE has three major events on the WWE Network within the 30 days of eachother:
- WWE Super Show-Down in Australia on October 6.
- WWE Evolution in Long Island, New York on October 28, which is a women’s only show.
- WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 2, which is a men’s only show.
There will be more matches announced for Crown Jewel in the coming weeks and months.
