WWE Evolution 2 was one of several events announced during Saturday Night’s Main Event.

On May 24, WWE held its most recent Saturday Night’s Main Event special from Tampa, Florida. In the main event, Jey Uso retained the World Heavyweight Championship with a win over Logan Paul after interference from John Cena and the returning Cody Rhodes.

Elsewhere, there were wins for Zelina Vega, Damian Priest, John Cena, and Seth Rollins & Bron Breakker thanks to a helping hand from Bronson Reed. The giant Aussie had been out of action since jumping from the top of the WarGames cage at Survivor Series 2024.

During the show, it was announced that the next Saturday Night’s Main Event will take place at the State Farm Arena on July 12, in Atlanta, Georgia. However, the biggest news is that the second Evolution event will follow 24 hours later in the same venue.

NXT Great American Bash will also be held during the same weekend, but no date or time has been revealed.

AEW All In Texas is set to take place on July 12th, with a special start time of 2 pm CT.

First WWE Evolution Event Since 2018

To date, the first and only all-female Evolution event was held in October 2018, with a packed card full of current stars and WWE legends. Since then, fans and even WWE stars themselves have called on the company to bring back the event, and it seems those calls have finally been heard.

Although there are several weeks before the event, it was recently reported that Jade Cargill could face Charlotte Flair in one of the headline bouts.

Flair was also in a headline match in 2018 when she went to war with Becky Lynch in a 30-minute Last Woman Standing match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Lynch grabbed a hard-fought win after Powerbombing Flair through a table.

In recent days, Nikki Bella distanced herself from speculation with Evolution, after she appeared to confirm that she’d be appearing at the event.
