WWE Announces Return of Bad Blood Pay-Per-View in July (Updated PPV Schedule)
It was announced on Tuesday during the Smackdown/205 Live event in Uncasville, CT that WWE will bring back the Bad Blood pay-per-view name this July. The event will take place on July 9 at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut and it will be a Raw brand event. Thanks to PWInsider for the info.
The Bad Blood PPV name was used in 2003 and 2004 for Raw brand shows. It was dropped after that.
In 1997, there was a In Your House event called “Badd Blood” with two D’s and it was headlined by The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels in the first Hell in a Cell match, which was awesome.
Here’s the upcoming WWE PPV schedule:
April 2, 2017 – WrestleMania 33 (Raw/SD) @ Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida
April 30, 2017 – Payback (Raw) @ SAP Center in San Jose, California
May 21, 2017 – Backlash (Smackdown) @ Allstate Arena in Rosemont (Chicago), Illinois
June 4, 2017 – Extreme Rules (Raw) @ Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland
June 18, 2017 – Money in the Bank (Smackdown) @ Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri
July 9, 2017 – Bad Blood (Raw) @ XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut
(If I had to guess Battleground would go end of July for SD.)
August 20, 2017 – SummerSlam (Raw/SD) @ Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York
November 19, 2017 – Survivor Series (Raw/SD) @ Toyota Center in Houston, Texas
January 28, 2018 – Royal Rumble (Raw/SD) @ Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
April 8, 2018 – WrestleMania 34 (Raw/SD) @ Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana
TJR Thoughts: It’s the end of March and we still have no idea how many PPVs WWE is going to have in the year. At least we are slowly getting more information as the weeks and months go by.
