WWE Announces CM Punk’s Injury On RAW

CM Punk World Champion WWE

WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk wasn’t present on tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW. The 47-year-old was involved in the Men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series this past weekend.

He played a huge part in the match but ultimately ended up on the losing side, following some outside interference. Punk was taken out by a black hooded individual during the match, which allowed Bron Breakker to spear him and get the win.

However, he wasn’t seen on tonight’s episode of RAW, sparking speculation over his status following a gruesome WarGames match, which was later confirmed on the show itself.

During tonight’s broadcast of the show, RAW’s play-by-play commentator, Joe Tessitore, provided an update on CM Punk’s future. He clarified that Punk wasn’t medically cleared to compete on tonight’s show.

While the timeline for his return hasn’t been announced yet, it shouldn’t take more than a month for Punk to recover, as another major announcement took place on the show.

Paul Heyman confirmed that Punk would compete on the January 5th edition of Monday Night RAW as he will face The Vision’s Bron Breakker in his first title defense since winning the Women’s World Championship.
