A popular WWE figure has responded to Bret Hart.

While Bret Hart’s feelings on Goldberg are well known, his recent jab at Booker T recently caught many fans by surprise.

During a recent virtual signing, Hart quipped that Booker and Goldberg were “trying to kill him” in WCW while claiming the former’s scissors kick was a “really dangerous move.” The Hitman said Booker once drove his head right into the mat and he had to tell him not to stop doing the move in their matches.

With regard to Goldberg, Hart said he doesn’t pay attention to him and doesn’t know anyone who does.

Booker T Responds To Sarcastic Bret Hart

During an episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T suggested Hart was being sarcastic when he made the comments, adding they had a great time in the ring.

“I think Bret was just being sarcastic. Me and Bret had great chemistry. We had a great time. I know it was a highlight of my career. I don’t remember ever hurting Bret Hart. But I have nothing but praise for ‘The Hitman.'”

After giving the subject more thought, Booker explained that if he did whack Hart it wasn’t intentional, and as the saying goes, “wrestling ain’t ballet.”

“It ain’t ballet … I’m not gonna sit here and try to justify me whacking Bret Hart. If I whacked him, I whacked him. But it was for the business,” Booker said. “That’s what it was about back then. It was about going out there, performing, and saying I’m sorry when we get to the back. We don’t apologize in the ring. … or give me a receipt. I don’t mind getting a receipt.”

Meanwhile, Matt Riddle recently criticised Bret Hart for not moving on from his feud with Goldberg.
