WWE Announce Brand New International PLE

Triple H WWE

WWE went international like never before in 2024 and now it seems a brand new show is on its way outside the USA.

In 2024, WWE held premium live events in Canada, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Scotland, France, and Australia. And it seems one of those destinations had such an effect that the company is about to announce its return in 2025. A return that might best be described as “vraiment phenomenal!”

After the success of Backlash, France in Lyon, which saw a raucous crowd shake the building with their support for AJ Styles, WWE is heading back to the country.

WWE has announced Clash In Paris to take place in the French capital on August 31 in the Paris La Défense Arena. The September 1 edition of Monday Night Raw will also take place in Europe’s biggest indoor arena.

In a press release revealing the news, Triple H indicated that the success of Backlash France is what’s bringing WWE back to the country:

Backlash France in Lyon last year broke arena records and decibel levels, demonstrating just how loud and passionate our WWE fans in France can be. We believe Clash in Paris and Raw will attract people from around the world to Paris and once again create a true spectacle.

What Happened At WWE Backlash France?

When WWE took Backlash to France in May 2024, over 11,000 fans packed the LDLC Arena in the Lyon Metropolitan area. Cody Rhodes defeated AJ Styles to hang on to his Undisputed WWE Championship despite the French crowd being firmly behind The Phenomenal One.

That show also saw Bianca Belar and Jade Cargill win gold as they captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship from The Kabuki Warriors.

WWE will no doubt be hoping for an even bigger crowd in Paris as the Paris La Défense Arena has a capacity of between 30 and 40 thousand depending on the event.
