WWE Allegedly Insulted AEW With Controversial Move

WWE and AEW had huge shows lined up for the weekend of July 12th and 13th, 2025.

It’s no news that the pro-wrestling promotions have been at war since AEW’s inception in 2019.

The past weekend was nothing new, and it is being believed that the global juggernaut may have insulted Tony Khan’s company during the powe-packed weekend.

WWE sent it’s developmental brand against AEW

Tony Khan had scheduled All In for Saturday night, but WWE countered it by scheduling Saturday Night’s Main Event. When the AEW PPV was moved to Saturday afternoon, the global juggernaut scheduled The Great American Bash for the same time slot.

On The Stevie Richard’s’ Show, the former star claimed that WWE sent up the developmental brand’s PPV against AEW’s full-time roster as an insult.

It’s a kind of war, but at the same time a little bit of insult thrown at AEW that we’re sending our developmental show to counter you. Like The Great American Bash on Saturday instead of Saturday Night’s Main Event. They’re trying to say the secondary brand or the developmental brand is still better than their full-time roster and everything they offer.

While the war of promotions will continue, WWE has been a popular choice, especially since Triple H took over the creative department.
