WWE Allegedly Would Go Out Of Business In This Scenario

Triple H Ari Emanuel WWE TKO

WWE’s future is allegedly in danger.

The Stamford-based company formed a partnership with the Saudi government during Vince McMahon’s regime. Although the former chairman sold WWE to Endeavor, TKO continued to work closely with Saudi Arabia.

Over the past few years, the global juggernaut has held several shows in the Arab country. Saudi Arabia is set to host the Royal Rumble premium live event for the first time in January.

Earlier this month, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H and Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, made a historic announcement that WrestleMania 43 will be held in Riyadh in 2027. It would be the first time the Stamford-based company takes the Show of Shows outside of North America.

What Will Happen If Saudi Arabia Buys WWE?

As the partnership between WWE and Saudi Arabia grows, many have speculated whether the wealthy Arab country will buy the Stamford-based company from TKO.

Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell was asked about the matter on a recent episode of his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast. While he admitted he could not predict whether it would happen, he claimed that the company could go out of business if TKO sells it to the Saudis.

I think if they sell to the Saudi Arabians, I think the business goes. Because they would take it to Saudi Arabia, I guess. And I don’t think the American wrestling fan is, I don’t think they would go along with it. [0:26 onwards]
