WWE Star Claims AJ Styles Had Unique Booking Quirk

AJ Styles

AJ Styles needs to play his video games, according to what a WWE superstar said about The Phenomenal One.

For the past nine years, AJ Styles has been a WWE superstar who has had two separate reigns as the WWE Champion. In addition to the WWE Title, Styles has also been an Intercontinental, United States (three times) and Tag Team Champion.

Before working for WWE, Styles was one of the top wrestlers in TNA and NJPW. During his pre-WWE days, Styles was also known as somebody who wrestled at independent wrestling shows for many years as well.

Ethan Page is also a former TNA wrestler, but he wasn’t there when Styles was. In NXT, Page is one of the top heels on the brand while looking like somebody who would do well on the WWE main roster as well.

During an interview on Ringer Wrestling Worldwide, Page revealed that when Styles would take independent wrestling bookings, he insisted that he had video games to play as well.

“AJ, we’ve had very brief conversations. It was mostly about both of us talking about our age when we finally got into WWE. No game talk, yet. I’m hoping I can cross paths with AJ again and chat with him.

There was always this, when I was on the independents, there was always this rumor that if you booked AJ Styles on an independent show, you had to make sure there was a wrestling video game at the hotel.

As he continued, Page claimed he believed it was not true even though he heard about it in the past.

I think for sure that was probably not true, but I remember hearing that as an 18-year-old kid coming up on the independents thinking, ‘That’s the coolest wrestler of all time.’ Not only is he getting paid, but he’s having fun when he’s at his job.”

AJ Styles Knows End Of His Wrestling Career Is Coming Soon

The future WWE Hall of Famer AJ Styles will turn 48 years old in June, which means he has been wrestling for nearly 30 years. During a recent interview, AJ Styles made it clear that he’ll be retired as a wrestler before he turns 50 years old, so that likely means he has about two years left as a wrestler.

That’s correct. I keep saying that. I’ve said this and said this, but I will not wrestle at 50, I promise you that.

When it comes to WrestleMania 41, it appears as though AJ Styles will be facing Logan Paul at the huge event in Las Vegas since their rivalry escalated during Raw in New York City.
