WWE Airs Vignette For Mysterious New Star
At NXT New Year’s Evil taping on January 6, WWE aired a vignette for a mysterious wrestler.
The male masked performer introduced himself as Elio LeFleur. The 26-year-old French national’s real name is Cyril Coquerelle.
The video package aired after Tatum Paxley’s singles match victory over Izzi Dame.
LeFleur has previously competed in various promotions across countries and was called Aigle Blanc before the rebranding. He is credited with delivering critically acclaimed matches in companies such as AJPW.
He has also been ranked by Pro Wrestling Illustrated, earning the highest spot of 145 in 2024.
LeFleur last competed in a NXT House Show on December 20, 2025, teaming up with Mike Garcia to take on Harley Riggins and Jax Presley.
He was even featured in a #1 Contendership match for the AAA World Cruiserweight Title at AAA Alianzas against Jack Cartwheel and Chris Carter.
Putting in more than 10 years of work, I have been proving my value in more than 20 countries since I was 16 years old. I’ve helped put French wrestling on the map, and my goal is to continue building on the momentum. The White Eagle is ready to take the flight from Paris, France, to the United States. The French luchador Elio LeFleur is coming to NXT. And, I am here to slash the sky.

Oba Femi Vacates WWE NXT Championship At New Year’s Evil
For weeks, WWE has been running video packages featuring Oba Femi.
The 27-year-old defeated Ricky Saints at Deadline to become a two-time NXT Champion. This win earned him the opportunity to challenge Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLII, which ended in a No Contest.
On January 6, he faced TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater, who earned the right to challenge him by winning the #1 Contendership 4-way match on the December 16 edition of the developmental brand.
Femi vs. Slater produced all the goods that fans expected beforehand. The Rule dominated the fight before The Youngest In Charge mounted a temporary comeback.
The Nigerian superstar ultimately won the bout by hitting his Fall From Grace Finisher.
After the match, he posed for the cameras. Then the broadcast shifted to a backstage segment, where GM Ava reminded the talent of the recent departures when Mr. Stone interrupted her asking if she had seen what Oba did. She said ‘no.’
Then the camera reverted to the ring where viewers could only see the NXT Championship in the ring with Oba Femi nowhere near it.
