WWE Adds New Title Match To NXT Battleground

There’s a new NXT title match on the Battleground card as one WWE star suffered a rough night at the office.

Battleground is set to be a big night in NXT with a surprise star emerging as Oba Femi’s challenger for the NXT Championship. The TNA World Title will also be on the line as Joe Hendry defends against Trick Williams while Stephanie Vaquer defends her NXT Women’s Championship against Jordynne Grace.

Now, another title match has been confirmed following the May 20 edition of NXT.

Zaria Spears Wrong Woman On WWE NXT

Zaria has been NXT Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca’s protector in recent weeks and dismissed the idea of Kelani Jordan challenging Ruca for her title. However, she relented when Ruca accepted a proposition that would see Jordan facing Zaria, with Jordan getting a title match if she could pick up the win.

Kelani Jordan claimed the victory after Zaria accidentally speared Ruca, with Jordan using that distraction to roll up her opponent and claim the pinfall. This means Kelani Jordan will get the chance to reclaim the title that she held for the first time in June 2024 when WWE first introduced the belt.

The confirmed card for Battleground on May 25 is –
