WWE Bringing 2 Major Free Agents To NXT Imminently

Triple H WWE

As the battle for talent between WWE and AEW continues to dominate in 2024 it looks like two major names are heading to the sports entertainment giant.

Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley — better known as the Motor City Machine Guns, have been free agents since April 1st, 2014 when their contracts with TNA expired. However, the pair have kept themselves busy on the independent scene.

On July 12th, Sabin and Shelley wrestled each other at a Prestige Wrestling event and appeared to say their goodbyes after the final bell. That sparked speculation that the pair had signed for a major company but the pair have since made more appearances on the independent scene since then.

But that run on the indies could now be coming to an end.

MCMG To CW In WWE?

PWNexus has reported that Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley are heading to WWE with the pair’s debut in the company possibly coming as soon as NXT’s debut on the CW Network on October 1st.

That show is sure to be filled with surprises and major stars – CM Punk is already slated to appear on the show as NXT launches on its new home.

The NXT Championship will be on the line as Ethan Page defends his gold against Trick Williams and Giulia will get her first crack at WWE gold when she challenges Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Title.
