Hulk Hogan has been an inspiration for many, and he has contributed to the growth of the industry innumerable times.

During his pro-wrestling career, he won 14 championships and has won the Royal Rumble in WWE twice.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice. Once as an individual in 2005 and the second time as a part of the New World Order in 2020.

Record-breaking world champion was hooked on pro-wrestling because of Hulk Hogan

One of Hogan’s matches, which left a lasting impression, was when he defeated The Iron Sheikh at Madison Square Garden.

It was a victory that changed the power dynamic in the industry.

John Cena made the interesting revelation on ESPN’s First Take that he had seen the match, and from that moment, he was hooked.

For me, it was seeing Hulk Hogan and The Iron Sheik on MTV. I was very young, and MTV was something you shouldn’t watch. So when wrestling was on MTV, it made wrestling okay. My dad was a huge wrestling fan, and we were allowed to watch MTV. So it was a cross of things – I wanted to see music videos, I didn’t really understand wrestling, and to see Hulk Hogan beat The Iron Sheik at Madison Square Garden for the World Heavyweight Championship…I was hooked.

Currently, The Champ has been confirmed for a Survivor Series against Dominik Mysterio.
