WrestleMania 43 In Saudi Arabia Targeting Legendary WWE Attitude Era Stars

WrestleMania 43 WWE Saudi Arabia Riyadh

Big news on Attitude Era legends possibly targeted for next year’s WrestleMania

WWE has recently started exploring the market in the Middle East, and its next outing there is the Royal Rumble PLE in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in Janurary 2026.

Riyadh is also finalised as the destination for WrestleMania 43 in 2027. It would be the first Showcase of the Immortals in the country, and they are pulling out all the stops to make it the biggest event ever by getting the biggest names in wrestling

A new update has come in that the Saudis are aiming to get The Rock & Stone Cold Steve Austin for the event.

Stone Cold And The Rock Targeted For WrestleMania 43 By The Saudis

Both Austin and Rock helped define WWE’s most popular historic period, the Attitude Era, and are beloved by fans around the world. The Saudis want a nostalgia-fueled event, and they have directly aimed for arguably the two biggest names the WWE has ever produced.

On an episode of The Final Bell podcast, Andrew Baydala revealed that officials in Riyadh are pushing hard to get the two legends on board. There is no clear indication as to whether it would be for a face-off, but the stakeholders wish to have them on for the event.

Baydala admitted that it would be difficult for The Rock if his movie career takes off, as his schedule would be packed with filming and he would be unavailable, leading to hesitation from his camp.

The Saudis have made a big push for two megastars from the Attitude Era. Both of them are bald,I know there’s hesitation from The Rock’s camp about retiring in Saudi Arabia, because he believes he has one match left.

If the movie career really takes off, rightfully he’s booked all the way through 2026. If that happens, and he has a great match in Saudi and he’s unavailable to do anything else, the guy is getting up there in age. I know there’s hesitation from The Rock’s camp. This is exactly what was told to me.

The ‘big offer’ under discussion is for next year’s Mania 43 in Saudi Arabia, and there appears to be hesitation about proceeding, given that The Rock knows it would most likely be his last match.

It’s unclear how the two wrestling giants would feature at next year’s Mania, but it’s clear that the Saudis are aiming to make it a nostalgia-fueled mega-event.
