WrestleMania 39 Brings WWE Staggering Sponsorship Revenue

WrestleMania 39 is already a runaway success for WWE at a time when business is booming and now a company SVP has touted the figures solely from sponsorship of the event.

Speaking to The Associated Press (via ABC News), WWE Senior Vice President and Head of Global Sales & Partnerships Craig Stimmel revealed that sponsorship revenue for WrestleMania 39 has doubled from previous years to reach $20 million.

Interestingly Stimmel also noted that “a match sponsorship” will take place at WrestleMania 39 as part of the company seeking to integrate sponsors and brands into the show. No such match has been officially announced by WWE but Bray Wyatt and LA Knight were part of the Mountain Dew Pitch Black match at the Royal Rumble.

Previous integration of sponsorship into WWE matches saw the infamous lumberjack match between The Miz and Damian Priest at WrestleMania Backlash in 2021. Instead of WWE Superstars acting as lumberjacks, the ring was surrounded by zombies as part of a promotional tie-in with the movie Army of the Dead which starred former WWE Champion Batista.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Pepsi, Take Two and Mars/Snickers have all been named as sponsors for WrestleMania 39 with the cereal’s Cinnamojis slated for a return of some kind as part of the show.
