2-Time World Champion Reveals Shocking First WWE Salary

2-time World Champion Natalya recently shared her first WWE salary, and the amount will shock you.

The WWE legend joined the Stamford-based company in 2007 and has been with the company since then. She is one of the most respected veterans in the business.

Despite coming from a renowned pro wrestling family, she built her own legacy from the ground up. That said, she recently revealed her first WWE salary during an interview with Cody Rhodes on his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast.

Nattie disclosed that her first paycheck in WWE was approximately $500, as the company had signed her for $24,000 a year.

Natalya said, “My first paycheck in WWE, my first contract was for $24,000 a year.” (From 24:09)

The Time When Natalya Wrestled With A Broken Ankle In WWE

During her conversation with The American Nightmare, Natalya also revealed that she once wrestled Naomi with a broken ankle. WWE wanted to pull her from the match, but she got in the ring, nonetheless, as she was booked to win the bout.

“I wrestled Naomi in London with a completely broken ankle because I was booked on the show. And I’m a person of my word… Yeah, I broke my ankle during rehearsal. I did a baseball slide through Naomi’s leg.

I broke my ankle during the day and they told me, everybody was like, you know, “We can pull you from the match.” This is me being selfish. I was booked to win. And I was like, “I’m not giving up my win.

I wrestled that night. It was a three minute match. I walked out like Undertaker. I walked out so slow, you would’ve thought I was Undertaker’s daughter for how slow I was walking.”

The Queen of Harts is not very much active on TV lately, but that doesn’t mean her influence in the locker room has diminished a bit. She plays a vital role in training and uplifting the younger talents in the promotion.
