Will Vince McMahon Return To WWE For John Cena’s Final Match
John Cena’s final match is on December 13th, 2025, at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
It is set for Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. Currently, WWE hasn’t revealed The Champ’s final opponent, but reports suggest Gunther has been internally finalized for it.
Apart from Gunther, some of the other names that were discussed by veterans and podcasters were Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, Brock Lesnar, and The Rock.
Vince McMahon will not return for John Cena’s final match
If there is one name that can be credited for The Last Real Champion’s rise in the business, it’s Vince McMahon. Despite not being an instant hit, The Big Man pushed Cena to become the face of the company.
Now that the 17-time world champion is headed towards his final match, it has been asked if Vince McMahon will be present in the arena for that.
On Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru, he revealed that, regardless of Washington D.C. being the stomping ground, The Big Man will not be present in the arena.
No.
I don’t care if it’s 14th and I, I ain’t going to see Vince. Uh, no. We’ll see Vince in Saudi Arabia, probably the next time we’ll see Vince, but no, he ain’t gonna be in Washington.
John Cena’s most recent match was against AJ Styles at Crown Jewel 2025. During the match, he paid homage to The Undertaker, LA Knight, Chris Jericho, Late Bray Wyatt, and Randy Orton.
