Will Ospreay Issues Warning To Ricochet After AEW Debut

Will Ospreay AEW

AEW International Champion Will Ospreay has admitted he’s happy for his old rival Ricochet but says there’s a long way to go before a showdown between the old rivals.

All In at Wembley Stadium proved to be a huge night as Will Ospreay captured the AEW International Championship from MJF in his home country. MJF has renamed that title as the American Championship but the Essex-based star refused to put his hands on that belt before Christopher Daniels presented him with the International Title belt.

The huge show also saw Ricochet make his hotly anticipated AEW debut as he was part of the Casino Gauntlet match. 12 of the 21 possible entrants made it to the ring before Christian Cage picked up the win and claimed a future shot at the AEW World Championship.

Will Ospreay Wants To See If Ricochet Has Any Bollocks

Speaking at the AEW All In media scrum, Will Ospreay gave his thoughts on his old rival Ricochet becoming All Elite and warned he’s going to have to work hard if he ever wants a shot at the AEW International Title:

Man has got to work for it though. There’s a long list of people he’s going to have to beat before he can call out the AEW International Champion. Honestly, I think it’s been eight years since that Best of the Super Juniors match and we’ve both gone in our separate directions. We’ve both done well.

But now he’s under this microscope and maybe, just maybe, I called him out all of those times just to see if he’s got any bollocks….so i’d like to see what he’s going to be doing here in AEW. I’m excited and I’m really happy for him.

Ricochet is already set for his first AEW Dynamite match as he will face Will Ospreay’s old United Empire partner Kyle Fletcher on the 28th of August.
