Will Ospreay Takes Fresh Jab At WWE

Will Ospreay AEW

Will Ospreay has a simple message for WWE.

No one is prouder to work for AEW than Will Ospreay, and the British star has flown the All Elite flag like no one else since joining the company in November 2023.

In a recent interview, Ospreay said he doesn’t enjoy WWE even though he respects those involved. The star said he’s never been a “WWE guy,” and doesn’t like the way the company presents wrestling, something he feels AEW is much better at.

Of course, his comments come after a relatively mild-mannered spat with Triple H after he signed with the Tony Khan-led company. Triple H later took a shot at wrestlers being afraid of the grind, something Ospreay took personally. He fired back by making a joke about The Game marrying Stephanie McMahon live on Dynamite.

AEW Smokes WWE According To Will Ospreay

During a new interview with Josh Martinez of Z100 on Superstar Crossover, Ospreay discussed AEW All In Texas and the scheduling clash with WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. While many fans will be keeping a keen eye on both shows, the former NJPW star believes there’s only one product worth watching.

When asked why fans should tune into AEW instead of WWE, Ospreay had a simple message. All Elite Wrestling is just better.

The British star said that he respects everyone in WWE, but AEW “smokes them” every single day of the week, and then some.

“Because we smoke them in every field of wrestling. Mate, we’re just better. Like, I respect them. I respect every single one of them there. They’re all vets. They all know what they’re doing. They’re great at their job. They understand getting people on their feet.

But we are so much more of a better wrestling company than them. Our guys smoke them every single day of the week. They’ve got good guys, like Gunther. They’ve got great guys, like Randy Orton. They’ve got good guys, like Chad Gable. I respect all of them, but on our worst day, we smoke all of you guys.”

Will Ospreay will be back in action on the May 14 Beach Break edition of Dynamite when he teams with Hangman Adam Page to face Konosuke Takeshita and Josh Alexander. In the main event, Jon Moxley will put the AEW World Championship on the line against Samoa Joe in a Cage Match.

Ospreay is due to meet Page in the finals of the Owen Hart Cup at Double or Nothing. The winner of that match will then challenge for the World Championship at All In Texas.
