Will Ospreay Post-Surgery Update Provides Timeline On Possible AEW Return
Will Ospreay is out of action, and a new update has shed some light on when he might return after neck surgery.
Many people who watch pro wrestling in 2025 believe that Will Ospreay is the best in-ring performer in the business. However, the style that Ospreay has in the ring can be considered a bit reckless, and he’s paying the price for it right now.
The last match Ospreay competed in was at the AEW-NJPW Forbidden Door PPV in his home country of England, when he was on the winning team in a Lights Out tag team match. After the match, Ospreay was attacked by Jon Moxley and the Death Riders to explain his extended absence.
Will Ospreay underwent neck surgery in mid-September and is doing his best to return to the ring at some point down the road.
In a post on Instagram, the Body Alignment Clinic in the UK posted some photos of Ospreay, including the scar on his neck from surgery, and also photos of him rehabbing the injury.
@aew Allstar @willospreay 6 weeks post op and doing great!
Still some way to go with but we’re on the right road.
Jan 2026 🚀
🚨Don’t Try This At Home!
What’s interesting about their post is that it says “Jan 2026,” sparking speculation that Ospreay will be ready to return to the ring in January 2026. That hasn’t been confirmed, but it ceratinly has gotten people talking.

Will Ospreay Knows Who He Wants To Face At AEW All In 2026
The AEW All In PPV will return to England in 2026 after taking place in Texas in 2025. When asked about who he wants to face at All In 2026 in his home country in England, Will Ospreay picked a former AEW World Champion.
“Honestly, if it was down to me and I had the magic potion to make everything happen, and I’m healthy to make it because we have no idea what waits on the other side [of the injury], there’s no timeline. If I have my magic potion, it’s me versus Kenny Omega in the main event.”
TJRWrestling wishes the great Will Ospreay all the best as he continues to recover from neck surgery.
