Will Ospreay Splits From Don Callis On AEW Dynamite
Will Ospreay is out of The Don Callis Family but perhaps not in the way many people envisioned.
At Forbidden Door in New York City, Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay went to battle in the night’s main event for the AEW World Championship as Will Ospreay looked to emulate Mercedes Mone who left Forbidden Door with two titles of her own.
Strickland and Ospreay went back and forth for almost half an hour before the referee was taken out and the slimy Don Callis tried to get Ospreay to take out both Strickland and Prince Nana with a screwdriver. Ultimately Ospreay threw away the weapon and succumbed to a House Call and Big Pressure as Swerve Strickland won and in the process ended the undefeated streak of Will Ospreay in AEW since he officially joined the company.
On Dynamite Beach Break, Will Ospreay put his AEW International Title on the line against Daniel Garcia but before that he had a more pressing matter to attend to.
Will Ospreay Embraces Don Callis As They Split
Don Callis interrupted Ospreay’s backstage interview where the English star was joined by long-time ally Kyle Fletcher. Will Ospreay took responsibility for what happened at Forbidden Door and after thanking Callis for all his support told him he wanted out of The Don Callis Family.
Don Callis noted he didn’t normally let people out of signed agreements but indicated he would not stand in Ospreay’s way but a telling look on Callis’ face as the two men hugged might indicate this won’t be the peaceful end that perhaps surprised many.

Will Ospreay defeated Daniel Garcia to retain his title but after their match MJF brutally attacked Garcia, despite being in his corner for the match.
With referees, security, and Christopher Daniels unable to stop the maniacal MJF, it was left to Ospreay to return to the ring which caused the former AEW World Champion to bail and make his escape through the crowd.
