Why Will Ospreay Still Absolutely Doesn’t Want To Live In The US
Will Ospreay will be staying in the United Kingdom.
When it became clear Will Ospreay would be leaving NJPW, his next destination quickly became a decision between WWE and AEW.
Although AEW was a clear favourite, and he’d wrestled for the promotion before, that didn’t mean WWE was about to let the British star pass them by without a conversation. However, a move to WWE meant a vastly busier schedule and uprooting his family to live in the United States, something he wasn’t willing to do.
During a new interview with Bleacher Report, Ospreay revisited the topic and stated there’s still nothing that makes him want to live in the US.
“There’s nothing in my being that makes me want to move to the United States. respect it and understand why people do it, but I have such a lovely life here and my son’s doing really well in school. I am very happy here. I don’t have any aspirations to want to move.”
Will Ospreay Looking To Land World Title Shot
Will Ospreay will be back in action at Double or Nothing on May 25 when he squares off against “Hangman” Adam Page in the final of the Owen Hart Cup. The winner of the match will then challenge for the AEW World Championship at All In Texas.
The World Championship is currently held by Jon Moxley, who will be going to war in Anarchy in the Arena at the same event.
In the women’s final, Mercedes Mone is set to clash with former Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter.
It’s been announced that the match between Ospreay and Page will take the main event spot.
