Will Ospreay Pushed To The Limit By PAC At AEW All Out
Will Ospreay and PAC put on a clinic at AEW All Out in an all-English battle for the International Championship and in the end it was Essex on top.
Will Ospreay defeated MJF at All In to end the AEW American Championship that The Salt of the Earth had introduced in favour of bringing back the International Title.
However, Ospreay did not have long to celebrate as PAC had earned himself a shot at the title by winning a Global Glory four-way match back in July and was eager to get his hands on the title.
Upset that he had been done out of his shot at the gold at Wembley Stadium, PAC laid out Will Ospreay making it clear he’d see him for the title at All Out. There was every possibility that PAC could leave Chicago as a double champion after he teamed up with the Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta to win the AEW Trios Title in London to make up for not challenging for the singles title he craved.
Will Ospreay Defeats PAC At AEW All Out
At AEW All Out in Chicago, Will Ospreay defended the International Title against Pac in the third match on the main PPV. The two UK stars had an incredible match where they kicked out of a lot of big moves and got a standing ovation from the crowd.
It was a very even matchup with both men hitting big moves the entire way. In the final moments, Ospreay jumped off the top leading to an Oscutter. When Ospreay went for a Stormbreaker, Pac countered it with a hurricanrana for two. Ospreay followed up with a Styles Clash and as Pac sat back up, Ospreay hit another Hidden Blade elbow (he hit that move a few times in the match) and that was enough for Ospreay to get the pinfall win.
Ricochet was also shown watching on a TV during the match, which certainly teases the idea of a future match with Will Ospreay.
The commentary team of Excalibur, Tony Schiavone & Nigel McGuinness put over the match as one of the best matches in AEW ever and most people watching this classic likely agreed with it.
