Will Ospreay Issues Statement After Forbidden Door
Will Ospreay has spoken publicly for the first time since he was left in a sorry state by his AEW rivals at Forbidden Door.
Will Ospreay warned everyone that he needed surgery to deal with issues in his neck and back following his All In Texas tag team victory over The Young Bucks. Ospreay had teamed with Swerve Strickland to defeat the Bucks and, in the process, strip them of their EVP status in the company.
Despite seemingly suffering from a serious injury, Ospreay surprised everyone when he targeted Forbidden Door for a comeback. Ospreay ended up competing in a huge lights out steel cage match as he led an AEW and NJPW contingent of himself, Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Darby Allin, and Hiroshi Tanahashi to victory over the Death Riders and the Young Bucks.
After the match, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli attacked Ospreay, ensuring he was trapped inside the cage while they delivered devastating blows to his neck. Will Ospreay left the arena in London on a stretcher as serious concern over his health mounted.
Now, Will Ospreay has taken to social media to break his silence as he thanked the fans for their unwavering support:
I genuinely have no words. Thank you so much for every little bit of support. Love you guys so much @AEW

Will Ospreay Not The Only AEW Star Set For Time Off
Will Ospreay will not be the only AEW star to miss time from the ring. Swerve Strickland was seemingly written off TV at Forbidden Door after his loss to AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada.
Okada targeted Strickland’s knee with a steel chair before the crowd was left stunned as Wardlow returned to the company to attack Prince Nana before he joined The Don Callis Family.
