Will Ospreay Teases Huge Match With A Current WWE Champion
Will Ospreay has dropped a hint that he could be set to face off against a WWE Champion in a dream match.
Despite being contracted to New Japan Pro Wrestling and competing in AEW, Ospreay has given fans excitement that the high-flyer could soon be taking on one of WWE’s biggest Superstars although whether it can happen legally is another story.
The Assassin was last seen in AEW during the World Trios Championship Tournament which saw the former Progress Champion compete against Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.
Ospreay reacted to a tweet from Chris Van Vliet which was promoting the Englishman’s appearance on Insight. Van Vliet expressed his desire to see Will Ospreay take on the newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
In the tweet, Ospreay hinted that he is based close to The 02 in London, where WWE will be hosting this year’s Money In The Bank.
“The 02 arena is 20 minutes from my house aye”

Rollins quote tweeted Ospreay with this: “Bruv.”
The WWE Money In The Bank Premium Live Event will take place on Saturday, July 1st in London and will see both Men’s and Women’s Ladder matches take place.
Seth Rollins is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Damian Priest on this week’s Raw. Will Ospreay teasing a match is interesting, but he has said his NJPW deal doesn’t expire until February 2024, so it would be difficult to make the match happen soon.
Will Ospreay shared his struggles working with a WWE Hall of Famer and will be hoping for a better interaction when he takes on another former WWE Superstar in the coming week.
Ospreay is the current 1PW World Heavyweight Champion and will be defending against Matt Cardona at the upcoming June 10th Devils Due event taking place in Lincoln.
The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Ospreay has built a cult following due to his in-ring performances and is ready to create more memories by defeating the former WWE Intercontinental Champion Cardona.
At NJPW Dominion in Osaka, Japan, Ospreay picked up a big win over Lance Archer to set up a huge showdown with Kenny Omega at AEW-NJPW Forbidden Door on June 25th in Toronto.
