Will Ospreay Faces 2 Challengers For AEW Title
Will Ospreay left the fifth anniversary edition of Dynamite still the AEW International Champion but it came at the cost of finding another challenger.
AEW Dynamite in Pittsburgh saw Will Ospreay and Ricochet resurrect their years-old rivalry but this time with the International Title on the line.
Ospreay and Ricochet wasted no time in getting to their high-flying best against one another with the crowd firmly behind both men to perform. However, as things wore on Ospreay ended up hitting a Hidden Blade when he collapsed exhausted on Ricochet but as both men’s shoulders were down, the referee counted the three on both men and declared the match a draw.
Both stars wanted to continue and Tony Khan sent word to restart the match but as they did so, Konosuke Takeshita laid out both men to bring the match to a close. Takeshita then held up the International Title signalling his intention to hold that gold.
Will Ospreay Heading To WrestleDream
Tony Khan later confirmed on social media that as a result of the fiasco on Dynamite Will Ospreay will defend his title against both Ricochet and Konosuke Takeshita at WrestleDream.
