Britt Baker AEW

Britt Baker has found herself in hot water with AEW management.

Although she only returned to AEW after a lengthy absence at Forbidden Door, Britt Baker has already found herself at the centre of a backstage controversy.

According to a report from Dave Meltzer, the star was suspended for at least a week following a confrontation with MJF and his girlfriend Alicia Atout.

Meltzer revealed that the incident was referred to HR, and the company’s disciplinary committee then decided upon the suspension which also included a fine.

Britt Baker was suspended for either one or two weeks and fined by the company’s disciplinary committee. Details have been kept pretty quiet. It came from something backstage at the 7/17 Dynamite where Baker allegedly said something about MJF and Alicia Atout, MJF’s girlfriend heard it and told him and he confronted Baker.

Britt Baker Aired Frustration About MJF

A further report from Fightful Select has now given an update on the situation and some of the details behind the spat. As reported by Fightful, Baker “exercised frustration about MJF within the women’s locker room” and word made its way back to the American Champion via Atout who was in the room.

This led to “confrontations” between Baker and Atout, and Baker and MJF. Following his interaction with Baker, MJF is said to have punched a wall.

It was also claimed that Will Ospreay stepped in to speak to Baker.

Baker was said to be upset at Atout for telling MJF what was said in the locker room. Although the former Women’s Champion and MJF had previously enjoyed a close friendship they fell out some time over the last 12 months.

Despite the incident and suspension, Baker is still expected to wrestle at All In on August 25th.
