John Cena might be at WrestleMania 40, but he won’t be sticking around.

It’s been several months since John Cena was last seen in WWE, but it’s WrestleMania weekend, and the legends are never too far away from the action.

For weeks there have been rumours that Cena will be involved in some capacity along with the likes of Steve Austin and The Undertaker. Details remain thin on the ground, but it seems that Cena will be present at the event.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that when making inquiries, appearances by the trio weren’t ruled out. It was only stated that none of the stars mentioned would be wrestling.

Meltzer confirmed that Cena’s free, and would like to appear at WrestleMania, but there won’t be any physicality due to his filming schedule.

John Cena will be shooting the second season of Peacemaker starting in June. The last word we got was he was free that day, would like to do it, but physically it would be limited.

When asked about Cena, Undertaker and Austin, the answer was they were not going to wrestle in matches, which at this point would be the expected answer

Cena hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel back in November. The veteran’s most recent WrestleMania match came 12 months ago when he was pinned by Austin Theory.
