“He Laughed At Me” – Ex-WWE Star Tells Wild Brock Lesnar Story
A former WWE superstar has recalled how Brock Lesnar reacted during an interaction early in The Beast’s career.
When Brock Lesnar debuted on the WWE main roster in 2002 after that year’s WrestleMania, he was pushed strongly.
Lesnar would go on to win the King of the Ring tournament after only three months on the main roster, and he became WWE Champion at SummerSlam 2002 when he defeated The Rock. At the time, Lesnar was the youngest WWE Champion since he was 25 years old when he won his first.
It’s been 23 years since Lesnar debuted, and he’s still a major force in WWE. Going back to his debut in 2002, former WWE superstar Maven told Insight’s Chris Van Vliet about what it was like to take Lesnar’s F5 finishing move, which sees Brock spin a man of his shoulders and into the mat.
“There was no telling me how I’m gonna take it. It’s ‘I’m gonna grab you, put you up on my shoulders.’ ‘What do you need from me Brock?’ ‘Nothing, just lay flat.’ He’s like, ‘I’ll do the rest.’ And he did.
I even asked him while we were working on it during the day. I was like, ‘Do you need me to hoist myself up? You need me to boost?’ He laughed at me. He said, ‘No, I got you.’ And then once he grabbed me, I realized I’m a child to him. Literally, the way you probably run and grab and pick your two-year-old up, that’s how he was with me.”
Brock Lesnar Likely To Appear On WWE SmackDown In Chicago
The former 10-time WWE World Champion Brock Lesnar returned to the company at SummerSlam when he confronted John Cena. Lesnar went into the ring, got a hold of Cena, and dropped him with an F5. It was Lesnar’s first time on WWE TV in nearly two years.
It has been reported that Brock Lesnar is likely going to be at WWE SmackDown in Chicago on September 5th. Lesnar isn’t advertised for the show, but Cena is, so they’ll likely set up their huge match at the Wrestlepalooza PLE on September 20th.
Brock Lesnar is also advertised for the September 12th and September 19th editions of SmackDown to continue the build to his Wrestlepalooza match against Cena.
