Zoey Stark’s gruesome injury on the latest WWE Raw episode saw her get carried away mid-match.

Anyone who watched the Women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match with Stark, Rhea Ripley, and Kairi Sane must have wondered what actually happened.

Appearing on the Busted Open Podcast talk show, former WWE tag team champion Bully Ray addressed everything that went wrong with Stark’s landing.

When asked if it was a timing issue or whether she tried to stop herself, Bully Ray said the following:

She tried to stop herself because she knew she wasn’t going to be able to stay in the laid-out position to dropkick Kairi ‘cos Kairi was far too away. The timing was off. And when timing is off, it’s normally off between the two. I can tell you that Kairi did not turn and feed back to the middle fast enough, and I can also tell you that Zoey did her springboard too quickly.

The audience at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville was left stunned watching Stark scream in pain.

The match continued as a one-on-one contest between Ripley and Sane, with the former securing the win and a place in the MITB match on June 7.

Zoey Stark No Stranger To Injury Challenges

Stark’s history of injuries has resurfaced after her recent woe on Raw.

As part of the NXT roster, she had suffered multiple knee injuries in 2021, resulting in tearing her ACL, MCL, and meniscus. Many fellow wrestlers, including Ripley and Sane, expressed heartbreak and wished her a speedy recovery.

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo claimed that Stark will never appear on a WWE show again due to the extent of her injury.
