Roman Reigns endured a brutal beating at the hands of Seth Rollins’ faction.

On the August 4 WWE RAW episode, Seth Rollins defended his World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight in the main event.

The match ended prematurely after CM Punk attacked Rollins for his actions at Night 1 of SummerSlam on Saturday.

Rollins was reported to be out due to an injury he suffered during WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event XL. However, he returned fully fit on August 2 and cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Punk.

Punk’s attack on Rollins on RAW did not last long, as Bron Breakker speared him outside the ring.

As Rollins, Breakker, and Bronson Reed were headed backstage after laying waste to Punk, Roman Reigns appeared behind them.

OTC1 launched an attack on The Brons, but was taken out by Rollins with a Stomp out of nowhere. Subsequently, Reed hit him with three Tsunamis, with WWE practically writing off Reigns for now.

Roman Reigns Written Off By WWE To Film A New Movie

It was earlier reported that Roman Reigns will star in the new Street Fighter movie.

Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film is set to release in 2026.

The 40-year-old will play Akuma, a major antagonist in the Street Fighter series.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed Roman Reigns’ upcoming time off from wrestling.

Well, I think that Roman… well, Roman’s going to be out filming the movie. So, you know, I thought that was an injury angle to take him out for a couple weeks. [H/T Ringside News]

After Reigns, the new Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, was also reported to have signed the project, too.
