Why Top AEW Star Could Be Stripped Of Their Title
One AEW star has been threatened with losing their championship if they fail to adhere to this one rule.
Kyle Fletcher’s AEW career reached new heights when he captured the TNT Championship, but The Protostar is not stopping there. Fletcher recently took out Kenny Omega with an attack before he laid down his challenge to Hangman Adam Page for the AEW World Championship at All Out.
On the September 10th edition of Dynamite, Fletcher got his answer after Page opened the show in a non-title match against another member of The Don Callis Family, Josh Alexander.
As Adam Page and Kyle Fletcher came face-to-face, the champion accepted the challenge on one condition: Fletcher had to go it alone without any help from Don Callis or his Family. Callis has been especially vocal in his support of Fletcher in recent days after a former WWE talent claimed Fletcher was missing several skills to be a top star.
Now, on September to Remember, the contract for the All Out title match has been signed, but there’s even more risk for the challenger, as now his TNT Title is also at stake. However, it’s not in the way many might expect.
Kyle Fletcher Threatened With Losing AEW Title
Page and Fletcher signed their contract for their title match, but Page told his challenger that if Don Callis or any members of his Family interfere in the bout, then not only will Fletcher be disqualified, he will also be stripped of his TNT Title as well.
Fletcher agreed and signed the contract, but promised Page he wouldn’t leave the arena on his feet. Later in the night, that proved to be true as Fletcher and The Don Callis Family launched a sickening attack on the champion just days before All Out.
