Why Top AEW Star Missed Dynamite Taping
A new report has revealed why an AEW star missed Dynamite.
On March 19, Jon Moxley put the AEW World Championship on the line against Cope in a Street Fight. The bout was a huge rematch from Revolution, just weeks earlier where Moxley retained the gold in a chaotic main event.
During the rematch, Moxley again got the win, but there was only one spot everyone was talking about. With the match in full swing, Cope suplexed Jon Moxley onto Spike — a bat filled with nails. These nails then became embedded in Moxley’s back as the referee and Wheeler Yuta struggled to get the bat free.
In the days after Dynamite, it was reported there was a “wild” reaction backstage to Jon Moxley falling on the bat, but he was said to be okay, despite the gruesome landing.

However, one person missing from the action on Dynamite was Jay White.
Fans were surprised not to see the star in the chaotic World Title match given his involvement at Revolution, but it seems there was a very good reason for his absence.
As reported by Fightful Select, White was one of the talents unable to get to the taping in Omaha due to a blizzard causing travel chaos for all involved.
Ahead of the show, it was reported that Jon Moxley had gone to extreme lengths to make sure he could attend the taping and defend his World Championship. Thanks to the weather situation, Moxley ended up driving for 11 hours to compete as advertised.
