Why Seth Rollins Should Lose Huge Match Against Ex-WWE Champion

Seth Rollins might be Mr. Money In The Bank, but now it’s been suggested he should lose a major match to a former champion in WWE.

Seth Rollins captured the Money In The Bank briefcase for the second time in his career with a little help from his henchmen, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. With that briefcase in his possession, Rollins is guaranteed a world title shot any time, any place. And that could be what means he can afford to lose a major WWE match.

At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Seth Rollins will take on former US Champion LA Knight on the same night that Goldberg wrestles the final match of his career. Knight got the best of Rollins on Raw, and it’s been noted that he could go even further when WWE heads to Atlanta, Georgia, on July 12th.

Will LA Knight Beat Seth Rollins?

Speaking on NotSam Wrestling, WWE broadcaster Sam Roberts explained why he thinks LA Knight should pick up the win over Seth Rollins at Saturday Night’s Main Event:

Let’s say LA Knight beats Seth Rollins at Saturday Night’s Main Event and I think LA Knight should beat Seth Rollins at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Well, now if Seth Rollins is in the World Heavyweight Title picture and he cashes in the briefcase and wins that title, if he were the champion, I think LA Knight would be like, “Hey I beat you recently, I would like a shot at the championship, I’m better than you. I’m allowed to say that because I beat you.”

When Seth Rollins cashed in his Money In The Bank contract in the main event of WrestleMania 31, it was Rollins’ second match of the night. Earlier in the show, Rollins had lost his bout against Randy Orton with Orton dropping the star with a huge RKO out of a Stomp attempt that has been replayed countless times.

As Orton had defeated the man who then became WWE Champion, Orton got the first shot at Rollins’ title at the following Extreme Rules. History could be repeated with LA Knight in the Randy Orton role.
