Several top stars from the NXT brand have been called up to the main roster by WWE recently, and a few more are set to follow suit in the upcoming weeks.

While it seems like former TNA World Champions, Trick Williams and Jordynne Grace, are set to sign for SmackDown, Je’Von Evans was announced as the newest member of the Monday Night RAW roster this week.

Evans was brought out to the ramp by RAW General Manager, Adam Pearce, who announced his move to the red brand, and he signed the contract in front of the New York crowd.

Je’Von Evans signed the WWE RAW contract during a commercial break

This was supposed to be a huge moment for the 2025 NXT Men’s Iron Survivor, but it has turned into a topic of debate as his contract signing segment took place during a commercial break.

While many fans have been unhappy with this decision, according to WrestleVotes Radio via Fightful Select, some WWE staff and talent are also upset with this decision, leaving them confused.

We spoke to a source who told us that several people backstage were puzzled by the decision to have Je’Von Evans sign his RAW contract during a commercial break this past Monday — feeling it took away from what could have been a more memorable moment for the general audience,” he said. Despite not having won any championships down in NXT, the Young OG is seen as an up-and-coming star within WWE and has already had some great matches with former World Champions like Gunther and The Miz.
