Why Karrion Kross Shouldn’t Win WWE Money In The Bank
Karrion Kross is receiving a huge amount of support from fans but one WWE broadcaster would not pull the trigger on Kross winning Money In The Bank.
Money In The Bank has long been seen as a slingshot to propel WWE stars to a world title win and main event status in the company. Rob Van Dam, CM Punk, The Miz, Daniel Bryan, Jack Swagger, and Big E all won their first WWE World Title thanks to Money In The Bank, but long-term results have been mixed for the winners of the ladder match.
Fans have recently got fully behind Karrion Kross after Kross launched a foul-mouthed rant on being overlooked for WrestleMania. But someone very close to Kross when he went on that tirade would overlook the star for Money In The Bank as well, for one very good reason.
Sam Roberts Wants Long-Term WWE Booking For Karrion Kross
Speaking on NotSam Wrestling, WWE broadcaster Sam Roberts explained why he would not have Karrion Kross win Money In The Bank, as he wants bigger, long-term things for the star:
I’m not pro Karrion Kross winning the Money In The Bank briefcase. It’s not the direction I would go in, and I’ll tell you why. There have been many people who didn’t have a lot going on but had all the momentum in the world because of fan support. There have been a lot of people who fans have loved but they weren’t getting that love shown on television. The stories weren’t there for them and then they win the Money In The Bank briefcase.
Dolph Ziggler, many, many people winning Money In The Bank that way and some of them cash in successfully and some of them don’t but there are no stories I can think of where people who had not too much going on on television then all of a sudden get this groundswell of support from fans and then they win Money In The Bank briefcase and it takes them on to the superstardom they so richly deserve. Ultimately, it creates a moment and then the moment fades.
That’s all there is to it, just the moment and you don’t want that for Karrion Kross. You don’t want a moment, you want a story, you want a career, you want this guy to be a day-to-day part and you want energy put into it. Ultimately, what is going to bring people success is storylines that have energy put into them, not briefcases and belts.
Currently, the 2025 Men’s Money In The Bank will feature Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, Penta, and Seth Rollins. Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, Giulia, and Roxanne Perez have qualified for the Women’s Money In The Bank match.
