Why Hulk Hogan Will Take WWE Fans Booing Him

Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan has a new perspective on WWE fans booing him but questions why it’s different from them booing The Rock or John Cena.

The first edition of WWE Raw on Netflix saw several icons appear as The Rock crowned the undisputed Tribal Chief while The Undertaker shared a special moment with Rhea Ripley. But one appearance that probably won’t be on WWE’s highlight reels for years to come is that of Hulk Hogan.

Hulk Hogan was accompanied by Jimmy Hart, who waved an American flag for much of Hogan’s promo. Despite the crowd in Los Angeles cheering Hogan’s iconic theme song when the star started to speak, the mood quickly turned. Hogan reverted to his old standards as he mentioned Andre The Giant and Randy Savage in an attempt to turn things around, but such was the crowd’s disdain for Hogan that he managed to get those legends booed in the process as well.

Hogan attempted to suck up the fans by calling them his greatest tag team partner over the years but this was loudly jeered as well.

Hulk Hogan later blamed his political leanings for the reception. Others think it has more to do with Hogan’s past racist comments that he never properly apologised for.

Hulk Hogan Thinks Fans Still Interested In Him

Now, speaking to Ariel Helwani, Hulk Hogan has another take on the situation and claims he’ll take that reaction given the attention that it got:

I can go out there and get booed in LA or the Rock can get booed in LA or John Cena gets booed in LA, but when I get booed, there’s a whole different reaction, media wise.

For some reason, I’ve laid some type of groundwork that people are still interested in what I’m doing. When you get booed and you get 3.2 billion engagements and you rock that whole world in LA with how much interaction there was on the internet. I’ll take it.

One AEW star lashed out at Hogan after the WWE Hall of Famer repeatedly got his name wrong, while Becky Lynch called Hulk Hogan one of the scummiest people on the planet.
